BGMania B-Sides #35 of BGMania: A Video Game Music Podcast. Today on the show, Bedroth dives into the stylish and cinematic world of 10,000 Bullets, the PlayStation 2 action game developed by Blue Moon Studio and directed by Yoshitaka Murayama, the creator of Suikoden.
This overlooked game blends noir storytelling with intense, slow-motion gunplay, elevated by its exceptional soundtrack from legendary composers Yasunori Mitsuda and Miki Higashino. The music seamlessly fuses jazz, electronic, and orchestral styles to create an atmosphere that’s as moody and dramatic as the game’s world of assassins and fate.

I’ve seen this game, and like always, I’ve never played it, so I’m going into this episode with an open ear. So far, I love the flow of the music, and it actually lined up well with Professor Tom’s latest episode about his cats. Both of these episodes have an upbeat rhythm to them like you’re at a happy hour at a speakeasy bar. Much love as always for somehow continuing today’s theme with this type of music. Thank you, gentlemen!
